The Friends Of Drakelow Tunnels

October 2003 saw efforts to deal with the outside of the complex. These tasks were made easy by hiring the services of a JCB and operator.

Ray Goodwin's JCB prepares to tackle the undergrowth threatening to choke the approach to tunnel 4 as Roger looks on.

Ray progresses along the approach to tunnel 4.

Having suceeded in clearing Tunnel 4,
Adit A gets the same treatment.

A job well done as the last bits of undergrowth are removed. A big thank you to Ray and his machine.
